Property Description
The Bay Course opened in 1914 was designed by Hugh Wilson and Donald Ross. The 6,300 yard course is not a test of length, rather a test of imagination, accuracy and short game. The Bay Course presents a Scottish links feel, dramatic seaside views, deep pot bunkers, plus small undulating greens. The course is the current host of the ShopRite LPGA Classic as well as 9 holes in the 1942 PGA Championship.
The Pines Course was opened in 1929 designed by William Flynn and Howard Toomey. Unlike the Bay Course, the Pines winds its way through New Jersey Woodlands presenting elevation change and doglegs abound. The course measures 6,800 yards, features many large bunkers, and gently sloping large greens. The 16th hole was the site of Sam Snead’s miraculous 60 ft chip-in to win the 1942 PGA Championship; His first major.
The warm, traditional-style rooms offer views of Atlantic City’s skyline or the landscaped grounds, and come with coffeemakers, flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. Suites add living rooms with wet bars and minifridges.
The resort fee includes the use of 2 golf courses, spa access, indoor & outdoor pools, a fitness center and an art gallery. Dining options range from upscale Continental cuisine to casual grill fare. There’s also a lobby bar, a ballroom and 34,500 sq ft of meeting space.
